Available on any terminal configuration, as long as the Flowbird Pay card reader is installed.
AN INNOVATIVE PARKING SOLUTION
The rationale behind Check-in/Check-out is fairness to the parking user who can pay for the exact time his car was parked. The solution relies on one aspect of the bank card payment which is the guarantee of payment the Schemes and the Acquirers are providing to the merchants ( parking operators ) who accept card payments. In the case of Check-in/Check-out the final amount of the transaction is undetermined until the actual check out time.
Indeed the parking operator needs to have the assurance right at Check-in time that the driver will pay his parking in this open environment where the latter can easily leave without checking out or just forget to do it.
CHECK-IN
The Card payment system makes a pre-authorization of the pre-defined or user-defined amount on the cardholder account, reserving this amount for later debit of the Parking fare.
CHECK-OUT
The Parking meter calculates the exact amount to pay. The Card Payment system confirms the exact amount the cardholder account will be debited and releases the remaining pre-authorized amount.
