On December 8th, Flowbird joined forces with the Florida Parking & Transportation Association to help raise funds for Hurricane Ian victims in Fort Myers, FL.

Hurricane Ian struck the South West of Florida on September 28th and destroyed over 5,000 homes, leaving residents in a dire situation.

During the FPTA annual conference December 6th-9th, Flowbird assisted in putting on a conference-wide raffle with the goal of raising $2,500 for hurricane victims. Vendors contributed to the raffle by donating big-ticket prizes for attendees to purchase raffle tickets, in hopes to win items such as Amazon gift cards, big-screen TV’s, massage chairs, and more.

By the middle of the conference, an amazing realization happened – all of the raffle tickets had been sold! Raffle organizers rushed to get more so that the hurricane relief efforts didn’t stop there.

By the time raffle ticket sales closed, Flowbird, along with the FPTA, were pleased to find that we had raised nearly $5,000!

The funds went directly to the Harry Chapin Food bank of SouthWest Florida, a specially selected charity that is local to the community. The food bank feeds a quarter of a million people each month and keeps all donations in the community.

Flowbird would like to thank the FPTA for hosting the extraordinary event, along with the other association vendors who helped to make the relief effort possible.
